If these
items are left to site improvisation, the building may stand quickly but commissioning will become slow and expensive. The portal frame layout should reserve clear forklift aisles, safe access to filters, and logical support points for ductwork. Roof height also matters because extraction ducts need straight runs and service clearance. Natural ventilation can help heat control, but uncontrolled crosswind may carry powder into bearings and electrical panels. Door orientation, filtered make-up air and ridge ventilation should therefore be reviewed together. When reviewing offers from an industrial steel building manufacturer, ask suppliers to separate primary
